Employee Spotlight: Meet Sarah Tipton
Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary (FEBS) is blessed to have just over a dozen caring, dedicated, enthusiastic, and talented employees. We take great pride in each and every one of them, and we’re always at a loss for words that fully express how greatly we appreciate each one!
The Directors and Officers of FEBS believe it is high time that we showcase our employees so that you, our loyal supporters and benefactors, can come to know and applaud them to the same extent that we do. Hence, with this inaugural article, we plan to spotlight an employee each month from now through most of 2027. With that said, ladies and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure and high honor that we introduce you to Sarah Tipton:
Sarah is a “hometown girl,” hailing from Spring Hill, where she lives with her parents. Raised in a farming environment, she developed a deep respect for and love of animals of every shape and kind at an early age. We know from close observation that her respect and love are immediately detected and gratefully returned by all our beautiful parrot residents!
Sarah’s employment with FEBS began in June 2024, and her contributions to our success have been climbing ever since! In addition to basic duties such as distributing food and water to our residents, Sarah is one of our engaging tour guides. And the amazing, colorful murals you’ve seen on our entrance and other fence segments are evidence of her artistic talents. Most recently, Sarah and another gifted young employee have started producing educational and entertaining reels that enhance our presence on social media sites such as TikTok and Facebook.
To say that Sarah is multi-talented with diverse interests would be a gross understatement! For example, the last two years, in addition to her work at FEBS, she has been pursuing an advanced degree at Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC). The excellence of her artistic talent is matched by her skill as an outfielder with the PHSC Women’s Softball Team!
There is much more we could say about Sarah from our vantagepoint, but another’s view will give you broader insight into this highly motivated young lady. The Spring 2026 issue of PHSC’s Perspective magazine included a Student Profile focusing on Sarah’s accomplishments in her studies and athletics. The article is attached for your convenience, with the approval and consent of Pasco-Hernando State College.

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce Sarah Tipton to you. We look forward to introducing you to another outstanding FEBS employee later this month. In the meantime, please help us maintain a competitive living wage standard for our staff by making monthly, quarterly, or other periodic gifts to FEBS: (1) donate online at Donate | The Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary; or (2) mail checks to 8933 Casper Avenue, Hudson, FL 34667-3676. Our beautiful and loving feathered residents greatly appreciate your ongoing financial and moral support!
