Last Saturday we told you about our new “condo” aviary, the first structure built for Phase I of our major expansion project. We’re equally excited about the opening of a second new aviary – a 24’x48’ duplex capable of housing at least three dozen parrots in comfort and safety.
The southern half of the duplex is occupied by many of our lovely Eclectus residents. Watch your email for a follow-up video showing the amazing life of the Eclectus who now reside in their modern home!

The northern half of the duplex is awaiting occupants at this moment. We’re proud of the way the two halves of the duplex have come together to offer a spacious, safe, and lovely environment for our parrots.

We are very fortunate that the expansion funds available to us permit a degree of experimentation in the layout of the new aviaries. The flexibility allows us to achieve optimal land use and maximum housing comfort and utility for our parrots.
FEBS relies solely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, estates, and private foundations to fund our daily operations and capital expansion needs. Are you motivated to help us accomplish our mission and provide lifelong care to our feathered residents? You can donate via our website (https://www.flabirdsanctuary.org/make-a-donation) or by mailing a check to 8933 Casper Avenue, Hudson, FL 34667. For information on structured giving and related matters, contact our Treasurer, Dennis Padget, via email at Dennis@flabirdsanctuary.org. Thank you in advance for your love and support.
