The birdies at FEBS are lucky to have their own aviary environment designer. Joe Krawczeski has been volunteering at FEBS for the past 3 ½ years.
He is a fun-loving guy who relocated 7 years ago from Minnesota and started rescuing Labrador Retrievers where he helped abandoned Labs by picking them up, bringing them to his home, training them and helping them find a loving home with the right people. He is good friends with Jeff, Zeus’s companion, which is how he found out about FEBS.
He started by helping FEBS clear land in Hudson, before the move from Wesley Chapel, and stayed on since then. Joe is a calm, nonchalant, happy go lucky guy who loves to help animals and enhance their quality of life. At FEBS, Joe has taken a particular interest in hanging toys, perches and feeding stations in aviaries in a certain way that provides the birds entertainment and a positive natural environment where they can hang out and “just be a bird”.
Joe enjoys and takes pride in making every aviary special. He is a hard guy to crack, but when it comes to animals he is all heart. He is willing to put his time into anything necessary to enhance the birds’ wellbeing which in turn he gets immense satisfaction from. Even the aggressive birds allow Joe to enter their home and do what he does best, it’s like they know and approve of what he is doing. We are so happy that Joe is part of our FEBS family and we know the birdies appreciate him too.
Thank you, Joe, for all of your passion and devotion to helping the birds at FEBS live a happy enriching life!
